Okay, so Rose sez that I can tell y'all about the Exclama. It's something I came up with back in college. The way I hear things, there ain't been no new developments in grammar since, um, well, for a long time. I think maybe it was the semicolon. (A point of contention with the makers of the Blackberry: There is no semicolon button! I love the semicolon. It's, like, the best punctuation mark ever developed. It does a fine job of Implying a Connection, and that is no mean feat.
But I digress. Here is the Exclama:
See, it permits one to be more excited in the middle of a sentence, and then continue on with a more measured tone. Umm... More on this later.
